Reviews: Chiang Mai Grandma's Kitchen - Grandma's Home Cooking School

The place to learn to cook Thai food is about 30 minutes drive from the ancient city. The yard has a beautiful environment and picturesque scenery, giving people a relaxed feeling. It is divided into planting areas and teaching areas, which is very suitable for parent-child travel. The teacher took us to visit the farm and introduced us to some common Thai food ingredients, such as: Thai ginger, turmeric, eggplant, wrinkled lemon... Then he led us to the chicken coop to feed the chicken. The child also experienced the first time to feed the chicken with fresh peppers. Hahaha... Every "cook" can take an egg from the chicken coop to make fried noodles. Before starting cooking, we can choose the dishes according to our taste and taboo: three main dishes (soup, rice, fried noodles) + a drink and a dessert. The child's father chose Dongyingong soup, red curry rice and shrimp fried noodles, as well as iced lemon tea and mango glutinous rice. The child chose coconut milk soup, Taibei coffee noodles and chicken fried noodles, the drink was Taishi milk tea, and the dessert was also mango glutinous rice. After each dish is finished, you will immediately taste the fruits of your labor. The sense of accomplishment and the temperature of the food collide with happiness. This feeling is really great. The dishes are very large and the taste is very good. Sure enough, it is the most fragrant meal you cook.

It was a great experience! I loved this morning spent cooking! She took the time to explain the different foods to me, to show me how to choose them, how I could use them. What a benefit it brought to my body. I highly recommend it. (Ps: do not eat before leaving to cook. We eat after each dish ...) I really had a good time!
Reviews: Chiang Mai Thai Cooking Lessons: 5 Cooking Schools Optional

One of the best experiences in Thailand!!! A great tour with transfers, including a visit to the market, but you don't have to buy anything. At the school itself, you'll be greeted by very sweet and cheerful girls with whom you'll cook. The school also has its own garden and turtles, which they'll show off and tell you all about. The cooking session was incredibly clear and fun, with lots of energy and useful knowledge. You can choose three dishes, receive a dessert, a drink, make one, and receive a free cookbook.
Reviews: Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping Hotel | Teresa Teng Afternoon Tea
Guest User2025-10-15
Room 1502 on the 15th floor of the hotel is where Teresa Teng lived. The room currently open for viewing is Room 1602 on the 16th floor, which is sometimes called a replica of the exhibition room. The hotel charges 950 baht per person for afternoon tea and a room tour. We booked it in advance through Ctrip (163 RMB per person). Upon arrival, the hotel staff verified our e-voucher and took us to the 16th floor. We were seated for afternoon tea (the 12 of us chose a larger private room) and were then free to explore the adjacent rooms. The room had looping videos and music playing. The window offered a stunning view of Chiang Mai's cityscape, and below, the hotel gardens. After the room tour, afternoon tea was served. It included exquisite sweet and savory treats, paired with three teas: jasmine, oolong, and chrysanthemum. Each person could also order a coffee. I ordered an iced Americano, which was delicious. My friends and I had a very enjoyable afternoon tea together, and we were all very satisfied with the quality of the tea and the service. This is a truly nostalgic experience worth experiencing in person.

This was a lovely and relaxing Thai massage in the heart of Old Chiang Mai. The staff are extremely attentive, and will check in with you regarding pressure and comfort during your massage. Complementary tea and snacks are included, as well as Mango Sticky Rice at the end.
