For us (ages 88-73), the Gauls were colonized by the Romans around 2000 years ago and defeated at Alesia. What this exhibition taught us is that this colonization wasn't as dramatic as it seemed, since the Romans managed to elevate the most gifted Gauls to positions of power within society!

A gorgeous day trip - the perfect length of sightseeing and country landscapes. All three areas were rich in Roman history and lovely, locally sourced picnic at Pont du Gard made 2000 yrs of history fascinating. Would do another trip with him anytime!

Nico was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable. We liked he took us first to Pont Du Gard so we were there before it became crowded and took wonderful pictures. The visit to Uzes and Nîmes were great too, but they felt rushed, especially Nimes. Nico did his best so we could see what was important, but to properly enjoy the 3 sites probably a full day trip would be better. Overall, anyhow, well recommended.
