I loved walking through history with the headphones on, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience. I'm glad I took the time to explore history, and the walls are still very beautiful.

I've got to start by thanking both the driver and the operator at the office. The metro wasn't running properly due to some line issues, so despite giving myself an extra hour (I'd planned breakfast near the pickup), I was slightly late! They arranged to wait for me for a slight time, which was enough for me to get there, though had provided backup information, locations etc. in case I couldn't! The audioguide you receive is sufficient enough, and covers 15 main points in Carcassonne, I began wandering the city listening to this, but once you get to the inner castle and ramparts (ticket not included) I spent a few hours exploring this with their audioguide, including walking the castle walls. After this, I again used the guide to learn about other parts of the city, including some of the museums, which after a hearty Cassoulet lunch, I went to explore. Due to my delay, the driver allowed us some extra time before the pick up, and was fantastic throughout!

This is a no fuss, excellent informative way of taking your time around the castle walls, with the flexibility of being able to stop/rest at any time, then carrying on at your own pace. I thoroughly recommend.


