It was my first time at Ho Chi Minh City airport, and I wasn't sure how crowded it would be, but I decided to try buying a ticket. I was relieved to see a staff member holding a sign as soon as I got off the plane. I was able to enter the country in less than 10 minutes, so in the end, I'm glad I bought it. However, I did have to wait to collect my checked baggage, so it might be better suited for those traveling with children or those who don't want to wait in line.

We had a great day on this tour. We were picked up in Ho Chi Minh City and went by bus to see the Cu Chi tunnels from the Vietnam War. It was very interesting and informative, and the guide explained a lot. Walking inside the tunnels was amazing - very narrow and unforgettable. After that we had lunch, and it was a big surprise: a lot of food and everything was very tasty. Then we went to the Mekong River and had a nice boat ride, which was really fun. We also saw how coconut candies are made and visited a small honey farm. Our guide Luis was excellent. He was very friendly, helpful, answered all our questions, and clearly cared about making the tour enjoyable. We really appreciated his effort. Highly recommended!

I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour. The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor. The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.

Our guide was a very informative guide! Our group had lots of questions during the tour, and he answered them all thoroughly. He shared many interesting insights about the history of Vietnam, and his passion in story telling really came through. He also checked in on us regularly to make sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Highly recommend this tour if you are planning to visit the Cu Chi tunnels!


