It was a super exciting experience for the whole family (two adults and two kids 10 and 14 years old). The trip had three stops: swimming with dolphins, snorkelling in coral gardens with plenty of colourful fish, and searching for starfish. Every stop was great. We never thought we could swim so close to dolphins. If we were lucky we had them even 1 m from us. Chichi and his captain were very patient with us and searched for the best places to see them as close as possible. They always told us when was the right time to jump into the water to have the best views and experience swimming next to them. Truly amazing! Coral gardens were beautiful with tons of colourful fish around us (sometimes also thanks to the food our captain used to entice them). During the last stop near Mnemba Island, our captain was diving and bringing the starfish on the board. Within less than 5 minutes he has collected four of them. We had a great time with Chichi and his captain during this trip. Chichi is very friendly, and flexible, and provides good tips for snorkelling. He has a very good price (much cheaper than in our hotel). Moreover, we had a private boat only for our family which was also cool. The fruit he offered (pineapple and watermelon) was the best we have tasted during our stay in Zanzibar. We can only recommend going with Chichi for this trip!

An organized tour would be best, lots of narrow streets that twist and turn. Lots of interesting neighbourhoods to see.

We signed up for the 7 hr tour of Stonetown, the spice farm tour and the boat trip out to Prisoner Island to see the slave prison and the 200 year old tortoises. The tour was very good. Also included was lunch at a Stonetown restaurant which was excellent. It's a long day so wear good walking shoes. I would highly recommend this tour as it is good value for the money. Its was very good,tour guys are so nice and funny. we had a tour of the spice farm. we looked at the spice market, tasted teas and coffee... we tasted fruits. at the same time, there is a shop where you can buy spices and creams. Later we went on a tour of the city where we could see the food and fish market.. We learned a lot about the past of the city.. the last was prison island where we saw turtles and peacocks..

We are thoroughly pleased with the service that we received from Amina and Ali. Amina is a such a personable guide with a deep understanding of Zanzibar culture and the places that we visited. The spice farm was such an amazing experience. Prison Island was a wealth of knowledge and intimate historical excursion. Stone town was a rich experience of the past and present. Ali is a very good driver who made us feel safe the whole time. We are working out how to give 7 stars on trip advisors. We are pleased and satisfied.


