We were absolutely blessed to have Mohammed as our guide in Alexandria. Knowledgeable—he has a Master’s degree in hieroglyphics and is working on his PhD—kind and thoughtful; he showed us and told us about this magnificent city. We toured the “new city” and the “old city,” seeing sights from the time of Alexander the Great. We had a bountiful and delicious meal at Branzino restaurant, with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean, and afterward, we took a few minutes to stick fingers and toes in the Sea and take photos with a giant parrot. We highly recommend Mohammed and this tour. We’re still beaming.

This was an excellent tour and wonderful value. Sam and everyone involved were knowledgeable, passionate and provided excellent service and information. They knew not to leave too early due to highway closures (fog). Others that left at 6 am had to wait 3 hours! They also ensured we were not taken advantage of by scammers everywhere. They took our photos and then sent them to us too. The bus driver was excellent. It was a long day but we enjoyed it immensely.

Good road from Alexandria to El Alamein, meant the journey each way took 1.5hrs. Extraordinary to see all the development along the route. The cemeteries were very quiet, the museum really interesting, well laid out and the staff member very keen to show us round and explain the exhibits in good English. Our guide for the day was Nessrin, and she together with her driver made it a very worthwhile trip. I knew very little about WW11 in North Africa and would thoroughly recommend for anyone with an interest in history.
