As a Mumbaikar who spent the first 30 years of my life here, I was mesmerised by the depth of knowledge and understanding,our guide and curator, Sonali brought to this wonderful 4-hour spectacular outing! Her attention to detail and her deep yet concise narratives made this a rich, warm and particularly engaging interaction with the multicultural legacy of this great city. We traced the origins of the city, identified historic landmarks that are stark and visible, yet forgotten or ignored in the everyday humdrum of existence. The tour builds up on the legacy of our colonial masters, the enterprising adaptions of the native populations, the generosity of the traders and businessmen who eventually contributed to the establishment of the Institutions ….. A common theme one sees throughout the walk, is that it multiculturalism essentially was what led to the development of this fantastic city…..( Mumbai had it long before it became a cliche!!)… I have to congratulate Sonali, not only for her knowledge, but the passion and sincerity with which she explains. These were not the rote renditions of a scripted tour-guide…. Her narratives reflect the feelings of someone with the unique understanding of human coexistence….. We forgot the weather, we forgot what time it was, the heaves blessed us with a spectacular heavenly glow of the setting sun as we made our way up the ANCIENT BAN-Ganga….. all the way down to the quaint KHOT-A-Chi Wadi…… I want to congratulate KHAKI for their amazing efforts at historical conservation, the professionalism of ALL their staff, including the soft spoken gentleman who drove us thru bustling traffic…… YES, we’ll be back for more! At the risk of embarrassing myself…… there is so much as a Mumbaikar, I ought to know!! And I shall be back……

We booked a family excursion to Elephanta caves with a tour bus, speedboat, and guide. Mr. Vikrant and Mr. Sameer were excellent in arranging and coordinating the trip on short notice. We would happily work with them again when visiting Mumbai.
