▲ Hakone Shrine Hakone Shrine boasts a long history, established in 757 during the reign of Empress Kōken (Nara period, Tenpyō-hōji era) by the ascetic monk Mangan, who practiced deep in the mountains of Hakone. With over 1,200 years of history, it stands as a testament to time. The serene torii gate of Hakone Shrine was built in 1952 to commemorate the enthronement of the Japanese Crown Prince and the signing of the peace treaty. Standing over the water, it is also known as the "Floating Torii of Hakone Shrine." Visitors can walk along the pathway for close-up photos, and its stunning visuals often dominate Instagram feeds. The plaque on the torii bears the characters for "peace," though it faces the water and is only visible when riding the Lake Ashi pirate ship. Keep an eye out for it!

▲ Atami Old Ginza Shopping Street - Here you'll find long-established shops selling various dried goods and pickled foods, as well as the sweet aroma of hot spring buns with red bean paste and dough steaming in the air. Whether you want to dine here, buy souvenirs, or simply take a leisurely stroll, you can feel the nostalgic atmosphere emanating from this historic shopping street.
