Teacher Chen explained in place, fully considering the two age groups of children's parents. The research activities are too simple.
Reviews: Chengdu Dujiangyan Panda Volunteer 1-Day Private Tour: Multi-Language guide + Free Hotel Pickup and Drop-off + Lunch + Volunteer Certificate

Our tour guide zoey was great company! The tour was at a comfortable pace and we had fun breaking the bamboo, cleaning and making the panda cake. We also managed to see the panda from their resting area close to an arm’s length distance! Totally worth the price for this once in a lifetime experience~
Reviews: Chengdu Wolong Panda Volunteer Experience 1-Day Private Tour with English-Speaking Guide (Includes Pickup & Drop-off + Lunch + Volunteer Certificate)

This tour was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our guide, Ran, was extremely kind and professional. She contacted us the day before to finalize the pick-up details and stayed with us throughout the entire journey. She explained the pandas’ way of life and habits in great detail, pointing out many small but interesting aspects we would have otherwise missed. We also enjoyed pleasant conversations during the trip, which made the long drive very enjoyable. The lunch provided was simple but much appreciated; the mandarin in particular had an amazing fragrance and flavor. Ran was very patient and always available, even offering to take photos for us. I highly recommend this tour: the Wolong Panda Base truly deserves a visit, even though it is about a two-hour drive from Chengdu.
Reviews: Chengdu: Cooking Class with Fresh Market Experience (3 Dishes)

We had an amazing time learning about Sichuan culture and cuisine plus Chengdu local life with Jerry. Upon meeting he took us to the neighbor market and walked us from stall to stall, explaining the uses/significance of seemingly every product around. Very comfortable experience. He clearly enjoys showing and explaining everything and nothing felt rushed while we took in the market. Then for the cooking class, we prepared three essentiap Sichuan dishes alongside Jerry and some school chefs who all walked us through the process. Everything was explained thoroughly and appropriately before starting and it came out great in the end. We came out satisfied with the experience and proud of the level of cooking we had produced! Perfect for people wanting to learn more about Sichuan food and the region as a whole. We knew a little about the cuisine prior to the class but learned a ton of new things in the process. We also felt that this is suitable for total newcomers too.

Reviews: Chengdu Calligraphy & Chinese Painting Class
Guest User2025-10-28
One of the best experiences we had in China. We booked this class as a birthday gift for my husband, and he was absolutely thrilled. The painting teacher and the school headmaster were both exceptionally kind and attentive—genuinely caring hosts who guided us with great patience. A fluent English-speaking interpreter was present the entire time and assisted with everything, including arranging transport. She also shared fascinating insights into local customs and everyday life in China. The result was a deeply authentic, hands-on experience that felt personal and thoughtfully curated rather than touristy. If you’re looking for something meaningful and memorable, this is it. 11/10. /// (The following is AI English to Chinese translation) This was one of the best experiences we had in China. We booked this class as a birthday gift for my husband, and he was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it. The painting teacher and the school headmaster were both exceptionally kind and attentive, patiently guiding us from start to finish and taking care of us in every possible way. An interpreter was present throughout the entire process, providing thoughtful assistance with everything from arranging transportation to class details. She also introduced us to numerous Chinese customs and daily life, enthusiastically answering all our questions. This made the entire experience not only hands-on and immersive, but also truly grounded, unlike some superficial tourist activities. If you're looking for a meaningful and memorable activity, this is it. Unique, genuine, and well-organized. 11/10—We would definitely sign up again without hesitation.
