The jaunting car driver and that experience was AMAZING!! 10 out of 10! Same for the boat ride and the Captain of the boat, both were outstanding!! The part that was about a 2 out of 10 was the transportation to and from the tour. The driver was rushed and not friendly at all and drove so hurriedly that many people on the bus were feeling ill and were not impressed. I only give that part a 2 rather than a zero because he got us there alive.★

What an amazing day! I took this tour with Paddywagon Tours. Kevin was our guide. He was knowledgeable and interacted with the passengers in a playful way. This experience was a highlight. I absolutely loved the horse and cart ride through Killarney National Park. Kevin highly suggested this and was glad he did! The views throughout were gorgeous. We went to Watertown for lunch. Kevin suggested a great place that was set up for tours, but he kept reminding us it was our holiday! 💚. We also had stops to look at Dingle Bay, Cahhersiveen, and to see the Torc Waterfall. Kevin engaged us in a sing along too! It was really quite a fun adventure.★

The location was easy to access by car and there was plenty of parking in the off season. We were promptly greeted by Martin and we quickly got underway.
Martin’s kindness, humor, and deep knowledge of the area brought the entire journey to life. He shared stories, history, and local insights that you simply wouldn’t get anywhere else. His passion for Killarney and its heritage shines through in every moment.
And the scenery? Absolutely breathtaking. Traveling through Killarney National Park by carriage felt like stepping into a postcard lush greenery, peaceful lakes, majestic mountains, and ancient ruins including Muckross Abbey. It was the perfect way to slow down, take in the beauty, and truly appreciate the magic of this incredible place.
If you are visiting Killarney, don’t miss this experienc. McCarthy’s Carriage Rides offers charm, comfort, and authentic Irish warmth. Highly recommended!★
