▲ Tarascon Castle is located on the banks of the Rhône River and is currently under protection due to its unique characteristics. It is one of the ancient medieval castles in France and Europe, built in the 15th century by the Duke of Anjou. The castle features a very compact architectural style, completely surrounded by the Rhône River. The structure presents a formidable sight, with unadorned walls that barely allow light to penetrate. The height of the walls and towers, enclosed by lush scenery and water, matches their robust appearance.
