It was no problem at all. If you buy a round trip ticket, you don't need to specify the date and time of your return trip. Just hand the ticket to the bus driver.★

It’s super foreigner-friendly — the 3-day pass lets you hop around on the HSR pretty much as much as you want. Just a heads-up: plan your route properly, because time flies and it’s easy to miss the true “must-go” spots if you wing it.
I used mine for a Tainan run and it was totally worth it — visited 林百貨 (Hayashi Department Store) and a bunch of other places around the city. Tainan has that chill, old-soul vibe: great food, slower pace, and so many photogenic streets to wander.★

it was super easy to get on the boat, just show the QR code, but keep an eye out because there are many boats nod it's not all you can get in
