Reviews: Eihō-ji Temple, Ena Gorge, Magome, Tsumago-juku day tour

There were four attractions in total. Eihoji Temple already showed some autumn colors in mid-October, and I'm sure in another month it'll be dominated by ginkgo trees and red maples. Ena Gorge wasn't anything special; I went there simply because I wanted to pass by. Magome-juku is so newly renovated, it looks like a sloped version of Panlong Tiandi. There are so many shops, and navigating the slopes on a rainy day was a bit scary. When we arrived at Tsumago-juku, it rained heavily, which only added to the charm of the quaint Tsumago-juku. Our group of about a dozen people was arranged by minibus, and everyone was very punctual, both for the morning check-in and the gathering at each attraction! The tourists were mostly from Southeast Asia, Europe, America, and Taiwan, and the guide spoke Chinese and English throughout the trip. 👍🏼

The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.

Kawagoe is absolutely gorgeous! The scenery is like a fairytale world; you'll fall in love with it at first sight. I especially want to thank our female guide, Miyamoto, for making this experience so wonderful. She not only planned the itinerary perfectly, managing the time flawlessly, and providing clear and detailed explanations, but she was also incredibly considerate, making me feel completely at ease throughout the trip. She was more than just a guide; she was like a friend. I highly recommend her to first-time visitors! 👍

The itinerary is very compact, but fortunately there is a bus transfer and a tour guide to explain the whole process, saving the trouble of checking the traffic by yourself, it is really convenient! Shirakawa Township is super beautiful, and the morning market of the missile alpine is also very interesting. It is a bit in a hurry. After shopping on the street, taking pictures, and going to a shrine, you have to gather. The ramen and roast meat recommended by the tour guide look very attractive, but unfortunately there is no time to eat, and I will make up for it next time.
