The printing process at the kiosk wasn't smooth. Even when I scanned the PIN code instead of the QR code, the kiosk failed to print the ticket. I ended up having to collect the ticket from a guide on the island of Venice.★

From the meeting point to the Basilica, we walked in a group through a crowd, and it was difficult to lose our guide. Entry was quick, and we were then free to explore the Basilica, including the terraces. The evening atmosphere was lovely, even up on the bell tower. However, time was tight, as there was a set time slot for the bell tower and no skip-the-line option. It was a very expensive combination; booking everything separately would probably have been cheaper.★
