We had a great time and enjoyed both the Nagoya Castle and Hommaru Palace, as well as the Toyota museum visit, immensely. Very impressive and very interesting ! Tomoko is a fantastic guide. She met us punctually at the agreed meeting point with a sign, clearly printed with our names. We needed to purchase train tickets to Takayama but found it confusing, she immediately volunteered to help us. She’s very friendly and we can tell right away she genuinely likes people and love being a guide. She took us to all the sights as agreed and though the weather was hot, she was constantly thoughtful to ensure we walked in the shade and she also brought us ice cold hydrating drinks in her backpack. She’s very knowledgeable and taught us much about Nagoya, Japanese culture and even introduced all the specialty foods to us. We are so grateful for the wonderful day we spent with Tomoko. We travel all over the world and can say she’s one the best guides we’ve ever had. Domo arigato gozaimasu Tomoko.★

We booked a group tour through Ctrip, which was very convenient. The meeting point was right outside one of the Nagoya Station exits. The guide took attendance and assigned seats. He gave a brief overview of the attractions and distributed a map. I'd heard colleagues talk about Shirakawa-go Gassho Village as being beautiful, especially in winter after the snow. Although we visited on October 7th, the scenery was still stunning. I hadn't expected such a beautiful village to exist deep in the mountains. It wasn't crowded, and we all had a wonderful time strolling through the beautiful village.★

This tour allows direct access to the observation deck of the Gassho-zukuri village, eliminating the need for walking. It arrives at the observation deck around 10 AM, avoiding peak tourist hours, and then arrives at the village parking lot at 11:20 AM for a 1.5-hour stop before departing. The downside is that the tour arrives at Takayama Old Town at 2 PM, by which time the morning market and most shops are closed, limiting choices. However, there are rest stops on both the way there and back, so there's no need to worry about needing to urinate. Our guide, Mr. Liu, was very attentive and responsible, managing everything for the tourists and recommending souvenirs and food. The time allotted was also very reasonable and sufficient.★

The guide, who spoke Korean, Japanese, and Chinese very well and had such clear diction that I thought she was a former flight attendant, even gave me her phone number, which made me feel at ease during the tour. She recommended good restaurants and gave me sufficient explanations so I didn't have to ask any questions. During lunch time, I left my wallet on the bus and the driver had to go eat, so I was very grateful that the guide tried his best to resolve the difficult situation. Fortunately, it was resolved, but I was sorry for bothering you during the meal. Thank you for telling me it was okay. She is beautiful not only in appearance but also in heart. I want to recommend this tour to people around me because it was so great!!
