Reviews: 3-hour wilderness cruise around Tasman Island, Tasmania [optional Port Arthur/Tasmania Devil Zoo]
Guest User2026-01-13
It was a foreign tour group, and the entire tour was conducted in English. The cruise was spectacular; we saw unique landforms, seals, and the biggest surprise was seeing many dolphins. Brunch was simple: coffee and bread. Lunch was sandwiches. We also visited the Port Arthur historical site to see the prison. The environment inside was excellent and very beautiful, just be careful as there was a lot of what looked like kangaroo droppings on the ground. Although we left very early in the morning, we returned early as well, so we weren't too tired.

The itinerary was reasonable, and we strictly followed the itinerary. Pennicott Wilderness Travel Agency provided excellent service.

The main reason to visit Tasmania and Hobart. The Tasman Peninsula cruise was awesome. The cliffs and wildlife were spectacular.

Highly recommended! Tasman Peninsula, the sea stacks, including the famous Totem Pole, were simply spectacular — nature at its finest. Our boat guide, Zoey/Joey (sorry if I got the name wrong 😅), was playful, cheerful, and really took care of everyone. Bonus: we spotted playful dolphins during the cruise! 🐬 After the Tasman Peninsula, we opted for Unzoo. The animals there felt incredibly free — you could really see how much care and thought has gone into creating their environment. Walking around, it felt calm and immersive, and it was lovely to see the animals behaving naturally rather than just performing for visitors. Definitely a highlight for anyone who appreciates wildlife and ethical animal care.
