Route of the Sun between Cusco and Puno in one day

The first day of our trip, the Ruta del Sol from Cusco to Puno, will begin with our departure from the bus station at the scheduled time. After approximately one hour of travel, we will arrive at Andahuaylillas, where we will visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, known as the Sistine Chapel of America. Our next stop will be at the archaeological site of Racchi, where we can explore the remains of the temple of the god Wiracocha. Afterwards, we will head to a local restaurant to enjoy a tasty lunch before continuing our journey to Paso de la Raya, an impressive mountain pass that rises to more than 4,300 meters above sea level. After taking some photographs at Paso de la Raya, we will continue our tour to the interpretation center of Pukara, where we will learn about the origins of the Andean civilization in the highlands. We will conclude this day of the Ruta del Sol in Cusco and Puno, leaving you at the bus station in Puno.
