Reviews: Osaka: Minoh, Katsuoji Temple, & Minoh Falls Full-day Tour

It was our second-to-last day after two weeks in Japan, and it was my favorite little excursion! I wasn't expecting anything special… Finally, pink cherry blossoms, not too many people, a nice tour in the morning and a peaceful stroll in the afternoon—a welcome change from the crowds of Kyoto, Mount Fuji, etc. The daruma doll and map stamping experience was fun and engaging. The guide was great, and the small group meant we weren't stuck waiting for 30 other people. Thanks, Warren!

A big thumbs up to Uncle Big Head on WeChat on February 24th! He provided clear information, location, and photos in advance, and was very enthusiastic and meticulous in replying to questions and offering helpful reminders. His driving was very smooth and safe, and the itinerary and arrangement of the three attractions were well-planned. His descriptions of the attractions and restaurants were concise. All three attractions are traditional and representative, rich in local culture and history. Uncle Big Head deserves high praise for his itinerary planning.

Reviews: Amanohashidate Sandbar & Ine Funaya Village Tour with Optional Sea Cruise

🌳 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate 1️⃣ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar → Take the cable car to the top (round trip ¥720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea. → Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side! 2️⃣ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach" → Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing. → Rent a bicycle (¥500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind. 3️⃣ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets → Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ¥800). → Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!

Although the journey was long, it was still a very enjoyable trip. We took a bus from Osaka; the bus was very clean, and the driver was very friendly. The tour guide on the bus was very skilled, switching between Chinese and English to give a presentation, and his explanations were quite detailed. Since our tickets didn't include tickets, the tour guide even helped us buy them, so we didn't have to worry at all.
