Day 1
06:00-06:30 Breakfast in the hotel
07:00-07:30 Transfer to Sembalun Village
08:30 Check in at Rinjani National Park Registration Office, Trekking Begin.
12:00 Lunch at Poss II
17:00 Arrive at Crater Rim Sembalun (RIM II), dinner, camp, and overnight.

Before climbing Mount Rinjani, you should prepare for the challenging hike with good equipment, clothing, and fitness.

Preparation

Train: Focus on your core, upper body, and legs, and use weights like dumbbells or kettlebells

Pack: Bring warm, windproof clothing, trekking shoes, a torch, and a daypack

Be aware of the weather: Mount Rinjani can experience strong winds, lightning, and severe storms

Be aware of wildlife: Be careful of stinging insects and plants, and leeches in the wet season

Fitness

Have a good level of fitness: The hike to the crater rim is strenuous, and the summit climb is more physically demanding

Be prepared for elevation gains: There are serious elevation gains on the hike

You can hike to Mount Rinjani independently, but you should bring all the necessary food and camping equipment

You can budget a small tip for porters and guides

You can expect to scramble towards the summit
