Adventure on Wheels: Maras and Moray on ATVs

The tour starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco or a pre-arranged meeting point.

It's about a 1-hour ride by private transport to the starting point for the quad bike activity, located in the Sacred Valley.

Arrival at the quad bike activity center: Welcome from the guide and a brief talk on safety, quad bike handling, and recommendations.
You'll be given safety gear: a helmet and gloves. You'll also get some initial driving practice on a closed circuit to familiarize yourself with the quad bike.

Start your adventure on quad bikes, heading towards Maras, a picturesque town known for its salt mines. During the journey, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, while you venture into the Andean nature. Estimated travel time: 45 minutes.

You'll arrive at the Salt mines in Maras, an impressive complex of salt terraces that has been used since pre-Inca times. Your guide will explain the history and culture of the salt extraction process and the importance of this resource for the region. Free time to explore the place and take photos.

We'll continue the tour by quad bike to Moray, a fascinating archaeological zone known for its impressive circular platforms that were used for agricultural experiments during the Inca Empire. Enjoy the feeling of freedom as you drive through rural roads and unique landscapes.

Arrival in Moray, where you'll learn about the importance of the agricultural terraces and their use for climate and crop research. Free time to explore the archaeological site, take photos, and enjoy the beauty of the area.

After our visit to Moray, we'll head back to Cusco by private transport. You'll arrive in Cusco, and that's the end of the tour. The group will be dropped off at the meeting point or at your hotel, as previously agreed.
