Korean War Memorial Museum: Dive into the region’s modern history at this large and compelling museum, which documents China’s involvement in the Korean War. Learn about the battles fought across the Yalu River and the stories behind China’s “Volunteer Army.” Exhibits include military equipment, wartime photos, and immersive installations.
Andong Old Street: Step into a charming street lined with traditional architecture, local snacks, and souvenirs. It’s a perfect place to have lunch at one of the many casual eateries offering Northeast Chinese specialties like dumplings, cold noodles, and Dandong-style seafood.
Yalu River Broken Bridge & River Cruise: Walk across the iconic Broken Bridge in the China side. Half of the bridge remains as a historic site, dramatically ending mid-river. Then, hop on a river cruise for a unique experience sailing along the Yalu River.
The Dandong Missile Frigate: Visit a decommissioned Chinese missile frigate now turned into a museum ship. Learn about naval defense, step aboard the deck, and explore the interior cabins for a hands-on encounter with modern maritime history.
Return to Shenyang: Take the 16.24pm train back to Shenyang.
