We had a great time learning about perfumes and the individual scents and how they are blended to make a unique cologne for oneself. Joannie is very knowledgable and made the entire experience fun and exciting. After learning about perfumes, and talking about what we like and don't like, Joannie helped us each mix three personal perfumes. Then we chose one and she made a larger quantity of it, which we took home along with our three samples. The entire event was eye opening and fun. Who knew there was so much to this and that we could do it ourself?

Making perfume was fun, but I thought there would be a wide variety of scents to choose from, allowing me to create my own unique perfume. However, we only had a very limited selection, and in the end, I didn't have enough time to mix everything properly.

Back in October during our 5 day trip to Paris, we took the most excellent course with Chef Paulo at Le Foodist. Many of the tasks and techniques have stayed with us. I especially appreciated learning how to make Gratin Daulphinoise which even graced our Thanksgiving table this year!
