We ended up getting a private tour with Mara, as no one else booked, and she was a fantastic guide! She shared about her life in Latvia, showed us some must-see stops, and entertained us with some local stories. The place we stopped to get pastries for lunch was so cute and the sweet and savory pastries were delicious. She also shared two amazing recommendations for dinner and rooftop drinks in Riga after she dropped us back off! It was a great first day in Latvia and made our experience walking around old town the next day even more valuable with the little tidbits she had shared.

A great day tour to explore four castles outside of Riga with a very kind and accommodating Jurijs as both our driver and tour guide in one. He was very informative with all our questions and didn’t rush us in spending time in each of the places. On the castles, we specifically liked more the Cēcis Castle with a guided tour and multimedia film on the history of the castle but all the other castles Sigulda and Turaida are also interesting and worth visiting along with the Araisi lake dwelling site and the ski hill. Bravo and Liels Paldies again to Jurijs. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Mara was a great guide - very knowledgeable and charismatic. It was really fun to complete to the hike through the bog and explore the sea side!
