I really enjoyed this day tour especially since it was a small group type of tour. We were only 6 people, so it really felt like a private tour! The instructions were easy to follow and in great details so everything went smoothly. We had an amazing and friendly guide, Georgi, who explained a lot about the history of the city of Plovdiv and who answered our many questions. The guided tour lasted more than an hour and then we got 2 hours of free time to enjoy the city, the museums and/or eat. The Asen’s fortress is quite impressive and offers an amazing view over the mountains and the city. We stayed for 30 minutes but it was sufficient especially after walking the many steps to the highest view point of the fortress!! Overall, I really enjoyed this small group day trip to Plovdiv and the Asen’s Fortress.★

If you arrive in Sofia for a few days don't miss the opportunity to visit Plovdiv. The trip is about 2 hours, the van was comfortable and the driver serve as a tourist guide as well. She was professional and very knowledgeable about the history and traditions of Bulgaria. We spent a good time during the trip. Thanks Maria!★

Great day trip, I highly recommend. In Canada, we don’t have historical cites less than 150 years old. So, it’s really amazing to see the historical sites, very walkable, but cobblestones.★

It was my first time hiking and it was definitely a challenge but i’m glad i did it. The snow was everywhere and sometimes we sank knee deep in the snow so i recommend you bring waterproof clothing and the very big snow shoes so you don’t sink 🤣 overal a very nice experience. Next time i’ll train more cardio beforehand
