Reviews: From Cebu: Oslob Whale Shark Encounter + Moalboal Sardine Run Snorkeling | Full-Day Marine Adventure

Sooooo cool! Yes, the drive is long and the snorkeling time is only 20-30 minutes, but it's all worth it! Whale sharks are simply amazing creatures, and even 20 minutes with them is worth the tiring drive. The sardine storm is also a magical phenomenon, and you can also see turtles in this same spot. This tour allows you to see all these wonders in one go! Our group consisted of only four people, although up to 10 travelers were booked. The guide didn't speak English very well, but he did his job well, taking us everywhere and getting tickets.
Reviews: Snorkeling with Whale Sharks of Oslob and Swimming in Tumalog Falls

My husband and I had the most amazing experience visiting Oslob for whale shark swimming and Tumalog Falls! We were picked up right on time at 4:40am in a comfortable private car by our driver, Ai Ai, who was so friendly and made the journey very smooth. When we arrived, we met our guide, Lovely, who was absolutely brilliant throughout the whole day. She first helped us get settled with breakfast, then guided us to the boat for the whale shark experience. There were about 8 people on the boat with us, and it felt very well organized. Lovely kept all our belongings safe while we were out swimming, which gave us total peace of mind. You can also pay 150 pesos for one of the boatmen to take your underwater photos – we did this, and it was completely worth it. Afterwards, we visited Tumalog Falls, which was absolutely stunning. Lovely was once again so helpful and even took photos of us at the falls, making sure we had the best memories. 100% recommend to book it!
Reviews: Depart from Cebu: Oslob whale shark watching & snorkeling 1-day tour | Round-trip transfer & including lunch
Guest User2026-01-24
The day before, we'd written to them about the exact time and car, and the driver arrived at the hotel at 5 a.m. The car was comfortable, a minivan. We got to Oslob fairly quickly without stopping. One thing to keep in mind: they drop us off at the hotel next to the sharks and then start telling us that the snorkeling session will take 3-4 hours and that we might not even get a chance to swim, but if we pay an extra 10,000 pesos, it'll only take an hour and we'll get a private boat and diving. We declined. They eventually gave us a lock for a locker where we could store our luggage, assigned two girls from the hotel to accompany us, and we walked with them to the ticket office. The girls bought entrance tickets and gave us a room. Then we returned to the hotel with them, where we sat and waited for about two and a half hours. Then they escorted us again and agreed to hold our unwanted luggage. They took us to the boat, we got on, and snorkeled for about half an hour. All was well; there were sharks. There were about 20 people on the boat, and everyone was in each other's way, which was a bit nerve-wracking. Then we returned to the hotel, ate the included lunch, and headed back. The downside: the wait; we thought it would be like booking online on Facebook.
