Sola and Bogi were our tour guide and driver for today’s adventure. Sola was very knowledgeable and approachable. She shared some interesting facts all day about Iceland and the area we were passing and visiting. Bogi was a great driver who navigated the wet roads very well. The coach was clean and well lit. It was a long day but we saw some amazing things that we will never see again (unless we return!) The weather wasn’t the best today but we made the most of it. There are plenty of stops along the way for comfort breaks and sightseeing. Timings are precise to stay on target with all visits. The only downside from my point of view is if you take any food like a packed lunch, you are not allowed to eat it on the bus or in any of the stops. If you want to sit in (which we did as it was cold and wet), then you have to buy food there. Prices on average were 4,000 isk for a cheese, bacon burger, and fries were 665 isk. A couple of tips; wear waterproof trousers as the chance to change is very slim and for ladies carry toilet tissue.
