Value for money tour to Longji Rice Terrace. Left at 8am along with another 5 travellers( MPV sits 8 travellers), and arrived around 10.30am at Ping An village. Walked up to the Nine Dragon & Five Tiger Viewing platform, which gives a great view of the area. Then, it was a lunch break followed by visit to Jin Keng, which had a different vibe. Then a short visit to the Yao Tribe village which had many closed stores ( as it was the winter). And ride back to Guilin arriving by 6.15pm★

This was an excellent day. Our guide, Oscar, speaks great English and found the perfect balance between being attentive, informative and non-intrusive. The boat trip was comfortable and beautiful. We then had a lovely cycle through the countryside and local farming area. The drive there (driven by Xu) and back was comfortable and relaxed. A really great day that was well worth the money. Very nice cruise. We got an upgrade to upperdeck after buying food. Food was good and staff was friendly. Scenery a bit the same after 3 hours. But absolutely worth the money and views!★

I booked a tour of the Longzi Rice Terraces. They contacted me via WeChat a day before to confirm. The tour itself is by minibus, with a stop for lunch and a restroom. First, they show you the Yao village, where a traditional Chinese concert is held. The concert is not included in the price; it's an optional extra, so you can transfer money to the driver if you wish. Then there's lunch. Lunch itself is not included. You're taken to a rather expensive restaurant. Afterwards, we transfer to the cable car and ascend to the rice terrace, where you can explore it on your own for 1.5 hours. The program is fully implemented, and all the scheduled sites were shown. The only downside is probably the price – this tour is generally cheaper at local agencies. The driver only speaks Chinese, so communication is via translators and WeChat. I should say he even tells you a little about the locations. Be sure to check the weather forecast; the terraces are windy and rainy in winter.
