The trip was well worth the money s got to see 3 beautiful sites. It’s worth knowing though that it’s quite a trek up to the waterfall so if you have mobility issues you will struggle. Anna our tour guide was really great, friendly and informative and we had a lovely driver called Boris.★

The castle is an absolute must-see if you visit Ljubljana. Perched on a hill, it towers over the city. You can reach it in several ways. There's a road leading to it, so you can drive. The tourist train also uses it and stops at the castle. There's a walking path for those who don't mind a brisk hike. Finally, there's the funicular, the cable car, which I chose to take. The castle is beautiful, and there's plenty to see and do. Of course, there are all the things you expect at a castle, but also surprising exhibitions. For refreshments, there are various venues, from a cafeteria, where the chocolate cake tasted heavenly, to a Michelin-starred restaurant. And of course, there are magnificent views. The castle is truly not to be missed.
