The ship arrived on time, and the welcome was friendly and straightforward. We had also been given a table reservation, which we made good use of on the return trip. The staff is friendly, the service is good, and the captain's announcements are clearly audible throughout the ship. We would gladly travel on the MS Goldstück again!

It was absolutely perfect. The ship looks beautifully modernized, and the restrooms were spotless. We had a fantastic breakfast on board. Mrs. Mayer served us with incredible friendliness and empathy. The quality of the coffee and food was outstanding. The captain's commentary and explanations were wonderful. He has extensive knowledge of the locks and was able to provide explanations for every ship we passed. We've never experienced anything so interesting on a Moselle cruise before. It was a wonderful experience for us to cruise around the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) in Koblenz. After a two-hour stay in Koblenz, we were delighted to return to our comfortable ship and enjoy the excellent service. A truly successful and beautiful excursion.

Just like when I buy things on Taobao, I never leave reviews, but this time I have to say something. If you can book your own flights, there's absolutely no need to book this so-called "independent travel" tour here. My original online flight was scheduled for 1:30 PM on January 28th, arriving at 6:30 PM local time. However, it was changed to 11:10 PM on the same day, arriving at 3:35 AM local time. After an hour of waiting for luggage through customs and another hour from the airport to my hotel in Patong Beach, I arrived at the hotel at 5:30 PM. If I had booked a boat trip the next day, they would have picked me up at the hotel entrance by 7 AM. Essentially, I didn't need to book the hotel for the first night. But Ctrip insisted on charging for that night's hotel. Even now, as I'm writing this review, I see Ctrip still selling it this way… Furthermore, you don't need to book local day trips through Ctrip. Local travel agencies are so established; they're everywhere, and the prices are reasonable. Just tell them where you're staying, and they'll provide transportation throughout your trip. I booked a day trip for kayaking in Phang Nga Bay (adults) through Ctrip. The entire boat was full of Chinese people, and the whole trip was incredibly boring. My wife and I were starting to wonder what we were even doing there. Of course, if you find this convenient and language-unimpeded, then it's perfect for you. I hope Ctrip can revise the specifications of this independent travel product.

Scenic cruise along the Rhine with many castles and quaint villages. Eclectic and fun little restaurant with good food and tasty regional wines we had to bring home. Beautiful local Christmas Market to get in some last minute shopping. And our guide Michael was fun and informative.


