Betsy, our guide, was my most favourite food tour guide I’ve had (and I’ve done a lot of food tours!). We had a smaller group and Betsy made it so interactive and welcoming that by the end, it felt like eating with friends. The restaurants we visited were also places I would’ve never found on my own and the food at each one was delicious. In between, Betsy would tell us some history and some personal anecdotes relating to the food, our group was laughing a lot aha. If you can personally request Betsy or ask when she is operating her tours, do that!

The mixed reviews and the high price made me unsure about doing this, but it turned out to be the highlight of my holiday. Sipping a mint tea before going into the changing rooms set the scene. The staff were so friendly (I was glad I spoke some Spanish though) and explained everything and the order to experience the different baths. It was sooo relaxing. Everyone was quiet, Moorish music played in the background and the lighting was dim. It felt like I had gone back in time. I didn't feel rushed and there weren't many other people in there at the same time, I often had whichever bath I was in all to myself as we all rotated around. When it was time for my massage, they came and whispered quietly to follow them. Some people were having treatments behind muslin curtains next to the main, warm pool, but I was taken upstairs to a private room. They asked how I wanted the massage and it was wonderfully strong, just how I like it. I got the last space on the website for the €43 15 minute massage booking 2 days in advance, so do book ahead. Thoroughly recommend the experience!
