I traveled to Hanoi and Sapa (January 15-18, 2026) and the signal was great. There might be some slowdowns in higher mountainous areas, but it was very rare. I chose the 100GB/day plan and could use it extensively, watching TikTok all day without worrying about running out of data. I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.
