Reviews: Birmingham City Centre Daily Walking Tour (10:30am & 2pm)

Sharing the experience of an impressive city centre with a friendly group and a charming guide. Loved the Black Sabbath bridge and the canal quarter. Hated the woke disclaimer on the golden boys statue. The Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution were what ended Slavery and eventually colonialism. These evils had existed for thousands of years precisely until the 18th century humanitarian revolution in Britain.

Went on a guided tour today with Dan as our tour guide. Very interesting, informative tour, Dan was very good. Lasted 1 hour 40 minutes and I’m glad we did the guided tour rather than the self tour as you get so much more information than you would get from reading info boards. We were able to look around ourselves afterwards also and I’m glad we did as there was more to see and read. Quite expensive really at £25 each but I enjoyed it and am glad we did it. I thought a £5 charge to park on the prison grounds was quite frankly a rip off when you’ve already paid £50 entry fee and the car park is barely fit for purpose you have to dodge the potholes. It is good to see that something has been made out of the building rather than it just sitting there empty, a good attraction if you like true crime

Very informative. Guide (Jonathan) was extremely knowledgeable and he adapted the tour effectively due to the changeable weather.

Dear Jonathan, it wasn't your fault we picked the rainy day, yet you made the best of it. For that, and for speaking slower and clearer English especially for me, thank you so much. Keep it up!
