Reviews: Day Trip Bucharest : Dracula Castle, Peles Castle and Brasov

I booked Peles Castle, Bran, and Brasov, but instead of Brasov, I ended up with a strange, albeit beautiful, place. I could have spent more time in Peles than in Bran.

A great experience to have if you're in Bucharest. The bus leaves at 7:00 AM (very punctual, doesn't wait for latecomers) and returns to Bucharest around 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM (if there's not too much traffic). The order of castle visits is decided on the spot based on traffic, while we always stop for lunch in Braşov, where there are many restaurants. Julian was very kind and knowledgeable and gave us some information about the places we would be visiting. You can buy tickets on the bus at a higher price but with a guide included, or you can buy them online or directly at the castles but without a guided tour.

Elena, our guide, was fantastic. She was with us all day, explaining many things to us, even small, unplanned curiosities. She was very kind and truly professional. The quality/price ratio was excellent. I absolutely recommend this excursion.

It is a must place to visit! The feeling down there is so calming that you don’t think that you are on -217 meters. The tour is 2 hours to stay and walk around. We bought a coffee and strolled and had a lot of places to sit. There are activities inside but I don’t think if you are with a group it is wise to go in the planetarium. Inside there is a place where you can buy salt and spices but there is also a street market next to the bus station.
Reviews: Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour

I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of Bucharest. Horia was our guide and he did a great job showing us around the top landmarks and buildings in the city. I learned a lot about this city and the country’s history during this tour so a big thanks to him for the insight he shared with us. This walking tour last about 3 hours or so but there’s a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and wear sunscreen if it’s sunny. Overall it was a very nice tour that introduced me to Bucharest, I’m glad booked it. Highly recommended especially if you only have 1 day to see Bucharest. - Nolan
