Fabulous 8 hour trip. Superb driver who was really chatty and informative. We visited one of the mountain peaks, Santana village, did a levada walk through a unesco forest, a sky walk and a rum tasting. Lucy told us a lot about the history of the island and showed us the wonderful vegetation.

Firstly, I would to pass our thanks to Hugo for the best experience we’ve both had whilst on holiday. We were picked up from our hotel bang on time and Hugo introduced himself, from there we chatted away throughout and found out many, many new facts about Madeira. We visited many beautiful places and Hugo’s driving skills on the extremely tight and winding roads was superb. No rush and a relaxed pace throughout the morning with memories now etched for a lifetime. This is our first time visiting Madeira and it won’t be the last as we have been very impressed thus far. Hugo will be our first choice when it comes to future tours and when we revisit. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. A+++ to you Hugo.

Our driver /guide was Roberto . He is a super nice guy as well as very informative regarding our self guided hike to PR9 trail Levada do Calderão Verde. He explained everything we needed to know and helped me with the entrance fee payment portal. Our hike was excellent, through waterfalls tunnels and beautiful forests . Roberto was very prompt at picking us up at our hotel at 8:20am and once we finished the hike he was already there waiting for us to drive us back to the hotel . I highly recommend this company Levada in and out and will be using them again 100%


