We ended up on the Banff tour instead of Canmore. The tour guide, Jacob, called in the afternoon with an updated trail forecast and offered to move us to the Banff tour or refund our tickets. We chose to do the Banff tour and it was the highlight of our entire trip! Actually, it may be one of the most awe inspiring experiences we’ve ever had. Whichever location you choose, Jacob and his crew do a fantastic job of giving you a genuine connection with nature. Nothing commercial feeling about this experience unlike others in the area. They make it feel like a personal experience for each person. We felt comfortable and safe the entire time with the knowledge and experience of our Banff born and raised tour guide. If you could only do one activity on your visit to the area, make it a tour (any tour!) with Jacob! The distance didn’t feel like 3 miles at all, it was a leisurely stroll. My 11 year old would have stayed out there all night listening to Jacob’s stories!★

The hotel was clean and tidy. I originally booked a standard double bed, but the bed felt too small, less than 1.5 meters wide, so I paid an extra 200 yuan to upgrade to a deluxe suite. The room was large and comfortable; I was very satisfied. It had a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and two bathrooms, just like home. The trip arrangements were also quite good, and there were basically no flaws.Trip.com picks
