Reviews: Playas del Coco: Sunset Sailing and Snorkeling Tour

The catamaran tour with views of the coast, the water and the sunset was wonderful. The guides were polite, not the most talkative as compared to other guides of other tours I have taken in Costa Rica but very friendly and worked hard to serve food, drinks, give out snorkelling gear and guide the catamaran. The catamaran was very clean, as were all the facilities and equipment. The only thing that disappointed was the amount of sea life seen while snorkeling, still saw some just very small fish. We did see some dolphins and one sea turtle today, which was great. I understand it is not always possible to see things and not a reflection of the guides.
Reviews: Volcano Hike, Waterfall Swim & Hot Springs Combo on Rincon de la Vieja

My friends and I did this tour on the second day of our trip to Guanacaste. We were picked up from the RIU hotel bright and early and picked up a couple more people on the way, it was a long bumpy drive to the national park and back to the resort so if you get car sick definitely bring nausea medication. We hiked around Rincon de la Vieja and saw so many things! Craters, mud pools, iguanas, monkeys, etc. it was very fun. However, some of the older people in our group were having a hard time so I would say it is not a beginner hike. The waterfall was the coolest part and definitely the favourite thing we did, however you have to go down a suspension bridge which was not easy for our friend who is scared of heights. The hot springs were also very neat, it was nice not to be rushed by our guide. The lunch was surprisingly really good! Our guide was super nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately I forget his name but it was clear he was very focused on giving us the best experience possible. He had a lot of fun facts for us and was very charismatic, watched over us but never rushed us. We got to stop at a really cool spot for souvenirs on the way back as well. I highly recommend and thank our tour guide for his part in making it a great experience!
Reviews: Turtle Watching Night Tours with Expert Naturalist
Guest User2024-10-16
Our guide was very informative about Sea Turtles and honest about the best place to see them. Unfortunately our littlest wasn’t in a good place to travel very far to see them that night, so we went to the beach less likely to spot them. We didn’t end up seeing any turtles, but we were given realistic expectations and he offered us a boat tour to make up for it. We would have loved to have the time to make that happen but unfortunately couldn’t fit it in this trip. Still had a good time learning about turtles and it was nice of him to offer a boat tour even though not seeing any turtles wasn’t his fault, so we really appreciated that.
