The experience was very good. The driver was very friendly, enthusiastic and explained a lot of the Scottish history mixed with the Outlander series, where relevant. The van was in great condition and very comfy. The stops were nice, with plenty of time to discover the castles and little towns while taking some photographs. Overall, a great activity.

Our tour guide was Scott. He was very knowledgeable about outlander and other films that were filmed in the places we visited. All the castles were great. But has we went mid February midhope castle was closed which I was really wanting to see but gives me an excuse to come back And definitely will!!

It was our 9th tour with Timberbush but also our second one with Gary!! We had him as our driver-guide more than 4 years ago and it was so amazing to have him again! He is still a very friendly, funny, cool and full of knowledge driver-guide! We had a wonderful day with him, thanks so much to him for all these memories, he is an amazing driver-guide ❤️

I had an amazing experience on the Rabbie’s West Highlands tour. The absolute highlight was the stunning landscape and castles — it genuinely felt like stepping into a fantasy or medieval movie at times. Every stop was more beautiful than the last, especially with the dramatic winter scenery. Our guide, Shae, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and engaging, and clearly passionate about both the history and the place. Despite the limited daylight in December, she went above and beyond to make sure we saw as much as possible, squeezing in extra viewpoints and stories without ever making the day feel rushed. This tour was the perfect way to experience the Highlands in winter, and I’d highly recommend it — especially if you love dramatic landscapes, castles, and great storytelling.

Jamie was a fun and entertaining guide and I really enjoyed the Deanston distillery. They were open and friendly and not to mention the Whisky tasted great!

Stefan was hilarious. The journey was fun, I did enjoy some of the stops. I do wish another Loch or Castle had been included due to the one being closed, however the trip was still fun. We had some great stories and the tour was great.


