Total surfing newbies were excited to get wet! The teachers from Essaouira Watersports were patient, helpful, fun, energetic, and knew their stuff! I could comfortably, as a parent, feel that my child was safely in good hands with those who were excited to share their love of surfing with him. I was delighted to see my son's confidence grow, and by the end of the 2-hour session, he had a deeper appreciation for the skill involved in the sport and was very proud that he managed to get up on the board a few times! **Wetsuit included. Bring a towel and shoes that are easy to get in and out of for the short walk to beach**

I have been to Explora Watersports two years in a row, spending about a week surfing each time, and I honestly can’t imagine a better place to learn and grow as a surfer. Each visit I’ve become noticeably better, and that’s entirely thanks to the incredible instructors and the atmosphere Anas has created. Anas, the owner, is truly amazing – warm, welcoming, passionate, and deeply committed to making sure everyone feels seen and supported. The staff and instructors (Ismail and Aziz you guys rock!– and sorry for not mentioning all of you guys at Explora!!) are equally outstanding: professional, encouraging, and genuinely kind. What makes Explora special is the mix of people. The groups include different ages and levels, yet there is always something for everyone. There’s a strong sense of community – people cheer for each other, celebrate good waves together, and support one another in the water. It creates a feeling that’s both motivating and safe. One thing that really touched me was how sweet and caring the instructors are with small children. Their patience and attentiveness are beautiful to witness, and it says a lot about the values of this place. Last year I came alone. This year I came back and brought my family with me – and next year, I’ll be back again. By now, coming to Explora feels like coming home to family. If you’re looking for a surf school where you’ll truly improve, feel welcome, and be part of something special, this is the place.

A unique experience in Essaouira. We had never surfed before, and thanks to our instructor, Adam, we managed to stand up several times. He's also very friendly and nice. We'll keep practicing!


