It was great! It's a bargain to be taken to three places for about 5000 yen! I highly recommend it because I think these are places you absolutely can't get around without a car! The ticket prices are a bit on the expensive side, and you might not need to go inside Bran Castle, but Peles Castle is highly recommended! The guide was very friendly and the explanations inside were interesting!ā

My friends and I booked a private tour with Active Travel, had the most wonderful experience with Marian, our guide. He was absolutely accommodating in every way and chose two locations that were perfect for us. The scenery was breathtaking, and Marian was so knowledgeable, and shared so many interesting stories and historical facts with us. After our hike we finished up having lunch in a guest house which was arranged by Marian, and everything was perfect. Marian spoke with so much love and passion for the Carpathianās and Romania, and is an advocate for ecotourism which we found inspiring. We recommend Active Travel and will def be back to Romania to book with them again.ā

Dani the guide was very knowledgeable, funny and helpful.
Good value for money - a long (apx 12hours) but great day - lots packed in and all 3 stops were fab.
Tickets from Dani are ā¬60 (or 300 Lei) for entry to both castles, extensive information for both castles and for the black church in Brasov. Payment can be cash or card but you need data on your phone for card payments as you have to follow a link from a QR code. The bus leaves promptly at 7am but there is a strict no eating on board policy so have breakfast before boarding (drinks were allowed).
Lots to see on the drive also - get the feel for real Romanian. Would definitely recommend. 5stars šā

I'm currently on a business trip through several European countries, including Romania. At the insistence of my daughter, a huge fan of the series, I decided to visit the filming locations. It was a delightful surprise and one of the best travel experiences I've had. Sebastian, my guide and now friend, did an exceptional job. He not only showed me the locations in detail and explained their connection to the filming, but also the historical background of each one, and even the routes between them. Every detail of the tour was perfectly planned and executed, from the comfort of the car to the logical flow of the route. If you're a young fan of the series, this tour is the best of its kind, and if you're an adult and a parent like me, I guarantee a fun and highly educational tour about Romanian history, visiting beautiful places away from the hustle and bustle of regular tourism. It completely exceeded my expectations.ī„
