Lila was a well prepared and informed tour guide. We found the admission fee reasonable. The two hour tour was a wonderful way to spend some of our time in Providence..

My husband loves every old ship place and I go along. It was a lovely day to be outside walking on floating ships, seeing warehouses filled with old boats, and admiring the variety of shops that worked to support this seafaring industry. There is a lighthouse also on the grounds with a couple short videos inside. Free parking is right across the street. It is a very flat outside venue for walking. But getting on the ships and seeing you have to climb stairs. You can find food, drinks, and snacks inside with ample seating areas. We spent about 90 minutes here including a snack stop. That is about the minimum to walk by everything. They have several nice places to sit, stop and rest. We walked the whole thing and bought a souvenir. It has 2 entrances with nice bathrooms and shops.
Reviews: MIT Campus Guided Walking Tour

Fantastic tour. A must go for any MIT fans and would recommend even for those who like me have little initial interest (my fiancé wanted to do this). Because of the tour we also were able to visit buildings that were otherwise locked on the weekend. I left feeling very inspired, in awe and wonder. It was also highly entertaining and educational! Loved as well the highlights of women scientists, the bits about the MIT hacks, and discussions about what the pedagogy is like. Vic the tour guide gave us very clear instructions on where to first meet up and clearly planned, refined and thought through a lot of great areas to highlight during the tour. I especially liked how she spoke off script and would answer every question we would throw at her. I appreciated what MIT does differently from other institutions of higher education. Plus she made it fun. Lots of jokes, interesting culture tidbits and kindness, while generally also keeping us on schedule. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone.
