Reviews: Adam's Peak in 1 Day

Deen was our driver and was lovely, a very safe driver and very attentive to our needs. He got us to Adam’s peak and back safely. Sada was our guide and again was very attentive, stopping when we needed to as it is all steps the whole way up that go to a very steep gradient. I would just say the organisation could have been a little better as we were told to leave at 7pm instead of 9pm. This meant we arrived at Adam’s peak at 12am and the ‘sunrise’ didn’t come up until 6 am. We were expected to climb the peak and wait at the top for 2 hours in torrential rain and storm. The temple was shut so no way to see Buddhas footprint or anything. Very little shelter up there also. I know this wasn’t anyone fault and hence the reason for the high rating still. I would just recommend you do NOT do this tour unless it is the on season which I believe is December onwards or you will be disappointed.

Ranjith was really nice and cooperative, i lost my jacket and he took us back and helped to look for it and Luckily I found it. Also we loved the tea testing at the end of the trip. He knew the city really well and explained for us and answered our questions. Definitely recommend!

Maleen and his team were amazing from beginning to end. We were greeted at the airport with a great air conditioned coach and water given to us. On route to our hotel, Maleen told us some interesting facts about Sri Lanka and pointed out some interesting places. Our next excursion was around Colombo where they took us to see many interesting places and lovely place to eat. We were then moving onto our next part of Sri Lanka and was taken to a tea place which was so interesting to see how different teas are made. Then to an elephant orphanage where we had an amazing time and even got to bath them. Best experience ever! Maleen was so helpful and happily took group photos of us as there were 20 of us. Another great eating place. From there we got taken to a turtle hatchery where we got to hold baby turtles and an older one. Nice little place to walk around. We were then taken to our next hotel where the brilliant driver did an amazing job getting up a tiny narrow lane! Our final excursion onto our next hotel, Maleen took us to the mangrove river where we had a boat tour down the river and stopped off at various islands, 1st one was learning about cinnamon and the next a temple. We finished the tour getting to hold a baby crocodile and some got to hold a baby monkey. Maleen and his team dropped us to our final destination (which was a few hours away so to pass the time, Maleen handed out some paper & pencils and taught us how to draw some animals, great keeping us all entertained). We couldn’t thank them enough. It was an amazing experience and they made it so easy for us. We would highly recommend. Thank you Maleen and team x

We only had one night in Colombo and wanted to see the city as well as enjoy some of the cuisine and this tour allowed us to do both. Not only did we have SO much food, trying a variety of dishes, we got to visit different parts of the city and experience the culture firsthand. As someone who loves a food tour, and always looks to do one whenever I travel, I would 100% recommend this one. A fantastic and memorable experience and one you won’t regret.

Our English speaking tour guide plus tuk tuk chauffeur Mr Ricky is professional and with good knowledge about the history of Colombo and story behind the landmark building. If you want a quick tour at Colombo that covers most of the key landmarks, this trip is highly recommended.


