We had a great day on this tour. It’s a long day with an early start, and the drive is quite long (around 3 hours each way), but it is absolutely worth it. Our guide Aaron was excellent and shared so much interesting information about New Zealand during the drive. We learned a lot along the way. The day feels like two excursions in one. Wai-O-Tapu was amazing, with truly otherworldly landscapes that you don’t see anywhere else. Te Puia was just as impressive — the guided tour was very informative and gave us a great insight into Māori culture. We saw kiwi birds, watched beautiful music and dance performances including the haka, and saw the largest geyser in the world. It’s a perfect combination of nature and culture, and everything was very well organized. We had an amazing day and would definitely recommend this tour.★
