It's convenient because you can find it right after exiting the departure hall. The staff was friendly and set it up quickly. The signal was decent, and I used it well. However, I was a little worried because my plan was suspended after 35GB, which was a bit of a concern. I was satisfied because the price was cheaper than buying unlimited data on-site.

The unlimited internet plan is the best, in my opinion. I initially got 2GB per day—it's woefully insufficient; by lunchtime, the download speed dropped to almost nothing. Then I got another e-SIM with unlimited data on Trip during a special offer and haven't had any connection issues since. And if you plan on using delivery services or local Internet, it's best to get a SIM card with at least an incoming number; that way, you won't have any registration issues.

I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.


