The interactive exhibition was great; it was a lot of fun walking through the different stations. We learned a lot about volcanoes and lava. The viewing platform is nice, and you can see several volcanoes. The film about the eruptions was impressive. We really enjoyed it! You can easily spend an hour there.

Due to severe weather condidtion we were offered buggy tour instead and had tons, tons of fun! Great tour guide, great powerfull machines, and beutiful scenery! Base is very well equipped. We got dressed and geard up very well, suits kept us warm and dry the whole time even with the quite extreme wind.

We did this experience a year ago now and we still talk about it highly. Despite the water we got on the glacier, everything was wonderful. A unique experience!

The tour guide plans the itinerary according to the weather. When it looked like it would rain, he told us to go to other attractions first, and the waterfall would be last, so we only got a little rain (the original itinerary would have left us soaked until the end). Along the way, the guide told us stories about Iceland, introduced the attractions, and reminded us of important things to note – he was incredibly kind! It was a wonderful experience! (I chose the English version!)


