Day began grey and wet but brightened up shortly into the walk and ended with blue skies and lovely weather. Made us feel that we should perhaps have gone on for the full hike (next time perhaps). Colin, our shuttle driver, is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about the Tongariro Crossing and the park. He was patient with our questions about the weather the day prior. And he is a genuine, authentic, nice guy I would trust any day as a driver for my family. He made the start of our awesome day even better than expected.
