This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.★

This pass is absolutely amazing!!! Combined with the Amanohashidate entrance fee, the round trip to Amanohashidate alone is enough to break even!!! All other attractions are practically free!★

I bought it online while on the train from Odawara to Osaka. At the station, I found an office and got a printed ticket. I then used it to travel to Hiroshima, which is very convenient. I also used it to visit Miyajima, then Kyoto, and several surrounding cities.★

Bags picked up from Kyoto and sent to Osaka while we continued to to walk around and took our time getting to Osaka. This service was a perfect choice although I must say the communication with the service provider was lengthy. They had told me to get the bags down to the lobby before 9am but when I checked out at 11am my bags were still at at the lobby. I am guessing the bags were only picked up past the afternoon as I was sent this picture at that time. It would have saved me some rushing had they not stipulated a 9am pickup. In any case, my bags got to the hotel in Osaka and it was just a relief not having to to lug them between cities.★

Highly satisfied! I took advantage of the Harukas 300 Observatory (2,000 yen), the Aburiya dining discount (1,000 yen per person), and the Osaka Castle Gozabune boat ride (1,800 yen). Thanks to this, I was able to travel at a reasonable cost.★

I used an eSIM for mobile data during my trip to Japan 🇯🇵📱, and overall it was a great experience.
The connection speed was fast and stable throughout my trip. All apps worked perfectly, including Google Maps, Instagram, YouTube, and messaging apps—no issues at all. The data package was more than enough for daily use like navigation, browsing, and social media.
One important thing to keep in mind ⚠️:
The validity period starts from the day you install/activate the eSIM, not from when you first start using data. So it’s best to install it right before or upon arrival to avoid wasting days.
Overall, it’s a very convenient and reliable option for travelers. Highly recommended 👍
