Our driver Sheil/Shale was the best. our group was on time and we had such sunny weather. Paying premium meant we got first dibs on the seats which helped a bit with my motion sickness. The views of the lanscape were spectacular and memorable and I got to spend quality time with my husband for our honeymoon. Definitely planning for another trip perhaps on our anniversary in the future and via helicopter.★

Overall, it was really amazing to see the breath of what WETA has done over the years. Our guide was attentive and pace the tour quite well. Her small stories about some individual items were really welcome as well as the frank conversation around the change in work culture after the arduous part of working on the Lord of the rings. It would’ve been really lovely to see more of the actual workspace rather than viewing it through a couple of windows. I think as crafters that would’ve been even more inspiring.★

We went to Milford Sound today with a comfortable Mercedez Sprinter departing from Queenstown and had great fun!
First and foremost our compliments to the driver and guide Glenn! He told us that he's 'only' in NZ for 3 months now, but we didn't notice anything about that at all. He's an enthusiastic, kind, chill guide, a very capable driver and he tells a bunch of interesting stories along the way. He also encouraged connections between all the participants on the tour by asking short introductions of each person/duo so that small talk during the rest of the trip becomes a bit more easy, which we thought was nice! Even his terrible jokes (his own words, not mine) were funny and kept the mood light. Thanks again, Glenn
Apart from our guide, the tour itself was also very well arranged. Email contact in advance of our trip was very clear. Pick up and drop off went smoothly and the arranged lunch was also good. The stops along the way are a nice addition to the main activity of the tour and they were quite scenic as well. We liked the small tourgroup because you're more flexible by visiting spots you wouldn't be able to see with a large touring car, you dont't have to wait too long for everyone to return to the busses on the stops, and there is a better connection between driver and the participants.
We highly recommend this trip to Milford Sound with Glenn as tourguide!
