Kusatsu Onsen, also known as "medicine out of soup", is famous for its beautiful environment and has been known as a hot spring for healing and fitness since ancient times. The natural outflow volume of Kusatsu Onsen is about 40,000 liters per minute, the highest in Japan. There is a "Yuta" in the Kusatsu Onsen Township Street, and the hot spring water that is steaming all year round flows continuously. Legend has it that Kusatsu Onsen was discovered by the mythical figure Takezun Japan and has been a popular health resort since ancient times. This is also one of the most acidic and high-temperature "time soup" in Japan, and the bathing method is unique - bathing with 100% spring water directly from the source. There is also a traditional activity in Kusatsu Onsen, which is to use long wooden boards to stir the spring water in the hot spring bath to achieve the purpose of mixing the medicinal elements in the hot spring evenly and lowering the temperature, which has become a symbol of the hot spring town. Kusatsu Onsen has a full range of general bathing facilities and hot spring hotels, restaurants, gift shopping, and restaurant facilities.Kusatsu · 250m from downtown

Shiraito Waterfall is located in the northern part of Karuizawa, with a drop of 3 meters and a width of 70 meters. Groundwater stored byMount Asamaflows down along the winding, rugged rock walls like hundreds of white threads, creating a cool, refreshing, and breathtaking experience. The stream before it converges into the waterfall is also clear and beautiful. In spring, you can forage for plenty of local wild vegetables in the surrounding woods, such as Japanese angelica and aralia shoots; in summer, many tourists visit to enjoy the splashing water and cool breeze, which delight visitors; and in fall, the brilliant maple leaves are a feast for the eyes.Karuizawa · 23.4 km from Kusatsu

Take a leisurely stroll through Kusatsu ♡ Enjoy the difference between the daytime and nighttime scenery while strolling through the town enveloped in the aroma of hot springs! Matsumura Manju is a must-buy sweet treat! The best is when it's freshly made. We also had some matcha tea! You can enjoy it at your leisure even if you stay overnight!

It's a very fun place and worth a visit. I went there with my family during Christmas in the winter of 2024. The snow scenery was beautiful, and I saw the legendary cute monkeys soaking in hot springs in the snow-capped mountains!

Nice park, a lot of entertainment, but we happened to go on a Sunday and it was extremely crowded. An upside is that you can buy a pass, which is rather affordable, and it can help you experience more in one day. We bought passes for 2 attractions, and even with them were not able to attend everything, which was a pity, cause we spent most of the day queuing. I guess the situation is different on weekdays.

Shibuya Sky was easily one of my favourite experiences in Tokyo, and I would definitely recommend it over other observation decks in the city. The views are incredible, and the atmosphere at night is immaculate. I got lucky and managed to grab an 8 PM slot after repeatedly checking for availability, as tickets tend to sell out very quickly, especially around sunset. If you visit during the day on a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji. The price is very reasonable for the experience, and getting in was easy and straightforward. The signs were clear, and I didn't have to wait too long. I ended up spending almost two hours up there, enjoying the views and just relaxing. My biggest tip is to book as soon as tickets become available, especially if you want the sunset slot. It's absolutely worth it!
