The Australian Reptile Zoo is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, north of Sydney, about 50 kilometers from Sydney. Established in 1948 by Australia's first naturalist, Eric Worrell, the Reptile Park is now regarded as one of the nation's premier attractions. A hands-on park, there are daily opportunities for up-close encounters and encounters with the animals in the park, including a walk with the zoo's tortoise star Hugo, and activities such as crocodile feeding. The largest crocodile in New South Wales, Elvis (Elvis), is located in the Australian Reptile Park. During weekends and summer vacations, you can watch this huge crocodile artificially fed. Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park is located in Sydney's western suburbs, on the way from the city to the Blue Mountains, making it a stop included in many Blue Mountains 1-day tours. This privately founded zoo houses over 2,000 native Australian animals, including dozens of endangered species, offering an excellent opportunity to encounter local wildlife in Sydney. Here you can see wombats, echidnas, dingoes, little penguins, cassowaries, kookaburras and more, observe massive saltwater crocodiles across water barriers, and even spot endangered Tasmanian devils. A highlight is entering the open kangaroo and wallaby area to hand-feed them, stroking koalas and taking photos in the koala zone, or visiting the lorikeet flight aviary where colorful parrots fly and perch around visitors. The park also hosts multiple daily keeper talks and feeding sessions, where you can hand-feed little penguins under keeper guidance. Quokkas, typically found in Western Australia, have also made their home here, offering a rare sighting in Sydney.Doonside · 39.9 km from Mooney Mooney

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo

4.5/5
1k reviews
WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is located in Darling Harbour, adjacent to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and Madame Tussauds Sydney. It is a rare compact zoo in Sydney's city center, primarily featuring indoor exhibits focused on native Australian wildlife. The layout follows a single path, allowing visitors to explore the entire zoo in about two hours. Here, you can see five iconic Australian animals: kangaroos, koalas, wombats, platypuses, and crocodiles. The zoo is divided into themed zones based on natural habitats: the Kangaroo Walkabout is an open area where you can observe western grey kangaroos up close; Koala Rooftop is the zoo's highlight, offering not only regular viewing but also opportunities to book photo sessions inside the koala enclosure or join a koala breakfast experience during their active morning feeding time. The Devil Den houses the loud, powerful-jawed Tasmanian devils, an endangered marsupial species now mainly found in Tasmania. The Daintree Rainforest zone features southern cassowaries, musky rat-kangaroos, and satin bowerbirds. Patience is needed at the Platypus Pool, as these egg-laying mammals often hide among underwater branches. The Nightfall area simulates nighttime conditions, where nocturnal creatures like sugar gliders and bilbies become active. Other sections include the freshwater crocodile billabong, zones for echidnas and Goodfellow's tree kangaroos, and insect displays with spiders, stick insects, and giant snails, alongside reptiles like snakes and lizards. During your visit, check the keeper talk schedules—many animals, from wombat "Ringo" to cassowary "Princess," have dedicated sessions where caretakers share fun facts about their behaviors. After exploring, Darling Harbour's restaurants and waterfront views are just a short walk away, making it ideal for a half-day urban itinerary. △ Get up close with adorable koalas △ Watch adorable quokkas △ Meet the giant saltwater crocodileSydney · 38.5 km from Mooney Mooney

Sydney Harbour Bridge

1.3k reviews
The Sydney Harbour Bridge spans across Sydney Harbour, connecting the city center on the south shore with the north shore, and faces the Sydney Opera House to the east across the water. The iconic duo appears in almost every Sydney postcard. This steel arch bridge, completed in 1932, is majestic: its main arch spans over 500 m, with the arch crown standing more than 130 m above sea level. The approximately 50 m-wide deck accommodates train tracks, car lanes, a bicycle path, and a pedestrian walkway, remaining a vital urban thoroughfare to this day. There are many ways to experience the bridge: you can drive or take a train across it, pass underneath on a sailing boat or ferry, or choose the leisurely option of walking across. The pedestrian walkway is on the eastern side, accessible via stairs from the Rocks or the north shore, while the bicycle path is on the western side. When reaching the south shore, don't miss the tower at the southeastern corner. Climb its roughly 200 steps to the observation deck for a level view of the steel arch and a panoramic harbor vista. The tower also houses an exhibition on the bridge's construction history. For a closer encounter with the sky, join the bridge climb experience: suit up in the provided gear and follow the guide along the arch ribs to the summit. Millions have completed this climb since its inception, with each offering unique views—dawn, daylight, dusk, and night. Gazing down at the Opera House and the entire Sydney Harbour from the top is a highlight for many travelers. On New Year's Eve, the bridge becomes the backdrop for the city's fireworks display, with prime viewing spots along both shores in high demand.Sydney · 36.6 km from Mooney Mooney

The theater isn't very large, so the view from the second floor was excellent, and the actors' performances were very lifelike, with very interesting dialogue. Plus, the theater has a beautiful terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows; I took some lovely photos there in the afternoon!

I booked my tickets at the zoo entrance, and they were confirmed instantly. I just scanned the code to enter, and they were exactly the same as the official tickets, but much cheaper. There are all sorts of animals and shows; you could easily spend a whole day experiencing them all. If you're short on time, just see the main attractions or things you like, such as the classic view of the giraffes by the sea alongside the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The round-trip boat ride offers various views of the Opera House and the CBD skyline.

Amazing whale-watching experience in Sydney! 🐋I really enjoyed this experience from start to finish. The scenery and the whole environment were absolutely beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see a lot of whales! It was amazing watching them in their natural environment, and the experience was even better than I expected. Definitely a great activity to do while visiting Sydney, and I would happily recommend it to others!

We visited the Sydney Tower Eye with my family and had a fantastic time. Booking our tickets through Trip.com was very easy, and there were a lot of different options available to choose from. I highly recommend going on a sunny day so you can get the most out of the views. Looking down at Hyde Park and the Anzac Memorial was a definite highlight. Highly recommended!

I always check other people's reviews before each trip for reference and then add my own. Although it was peak season, the crowds weren't large at all, not even comparable to those in China. Just arrive 10-15 minutes before the cruise departure time; e-ticket verification is very quick. You can see the opera house, the harbor bridge, and the coastal residential areas, etc. It's definitely worth a visit!
