Erma Road Food Street

Erma Road Food Street is one of the most iconic traditional food hubs in the urban area of Shanwei and the district with the highest concentration of authentic local snacks in the old town, often hailed as the world center of Shanwei cuisine. It brings together a variety of classic local flavors and is the go-to destination for experiencing the culinary culture of this coastal city. Erma Road, where the street is located, was built in the early Republic of China era. It is the oldest arcade street in the urban area of Shanwei and was once the commercial birthplace of Shanwei Port. After renovation, the arcade buildings on both sides of the street have been unified in a white and orange color scheme, preserving the simple and elegant style of the Republic of China era. The traditional layout of residences upstairs and shops downstairs continues to this day, exuding a rich sense of daily life amidst the bustling atmosphere. The snacks here are diverse and full of local character: vegetable tea is made with stir-fried rice, vegetables, and meat, served in a bone broth; crepes come in sweet and savory varieties, made fresh on the spot with a distinct wok hei; vegetable dumplings have translucent skins and generous fillings; beef balls and mackerel balls are bouncy and delicious. There are also traditional desserts and snacks like agar jelly, grass jelly, and licorice fruit, each with its own unique flavor. As night falls and the lights come on, neon signs light up one by one. The calls of vendors, the aroma of food, and the bustling crowd intertwine to create the most vibrant night scene in Shanwei. The food in the district retains the authentic local style of Shanwei, with fresh, hearty ingredients and simple, warm-hearted shop owners. Walking through the area, you can not only feast on delicious food but also feel the friendly atmosphere of an old neighborhood.Shanwei · 2.2 km from downtown

Xuanwu Mountain Tourist Area is located in the northern suburb of Jieshi Town in Lufeng, which is close to Jieshi Bay in the South China Sea. It is a religious place and scenic spot with beautiful environment. There are mainly scenic spots such as Yuanshan Temple, Fuxing Pagoda, Ancient Stage, Stone Arch, Santai Security, Kylin Stone, Longmen Stone, and Simei Pavilion. Among them, Yuanshan Temple is a place for religious activities that integrates Buddhism and Taoism. Yuanshan Temple is built on the mountain, Maitreya Buddha statues, statues and Taoism converge. The temple was built in the first year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127) and expanded in the Ming Dynasty. It is an ancient building complex with the Lingnan architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. The houses and corridors in the mountain gate are overlapping and intersecting. Its overall architecture integrates religious buildings, palace buildings, residential buildings and garden buildings, and has distinct local architectural characteristics. Its architectural structure is rigorous, with heavy buckets and arches, high ridged cornices, carved beams and painted buildings, traditional porcelain stickers, and the construction skills are very superb. The temple is splendid, with dragons and phoenixes carved on the main entrance, and the decoration is exquisite; the two stone lions on both sides of the door are powerful and lively, like two dedicated guards guarding Yuanshan Temple day and night. As soon as you enter the temple gate, you can see that there are many precious historical relics on display, including the wooden statue of "Sakyamuni" and Xuande incense burner in the Ming Dynasty, as well as the "Weixuanling Table" plaque given by Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty. As well as the "Shui De Primate" plaque presented by the national hero Lin Zexu of the Qing Dynasty and the plaque inscribed by Liu Yongfu, the leader of the Black Banner Army. Behind the temple is a garden view. The towering Fuxing Pagoda has three floors. On the left of the pagoda there are unicorn stones, and on the right there are Qilongyan and Longmen stones. Climbing the tower and the stone, you can have a panoramic view of the city's seascape and relax your eyes. Since ancient times, "Jietai Viewing the Sea" has been one of the eight scenic spots in Lufeng.Lufeng · 21.6 km from downtown

I recommend entering from the Stone Islands entrance... there's not much scenery on the Zhelang side... the entire scenic area is quite a walk... the reefs are very unique... I'd like to go on a sunny day next time... it's still a bit chilly in February...

Jinmai Bay in Shanwei boasts a 7-kilometer crescent-shaped pristine white sand beach with fine sand and clear, clean water. The adjacent Whale Bay Town amusement park is perfect for families, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Main attractions: Beach relaxation + Whale Bay Town amusement park + sunset viewing – ideal for strolling, lounging, and having kids dig in the sand and collect seashells. Whale Bay Town amusement park is a standard family-friendly area, featuring a sea train, carousel, bumper cars, and a Ferris wheel open at night for photo opportunities; there's also a sea roller coaster for thrills. The Sail Chapel, a pure white steel sail-shaped building, is a landmark of Jinmai Bay and now also houses a coffee shop. The best angle for photos is from the side, with the building in the foreground and the sky in the background. Sunset photos are best taken between 6 and 7 pm. Remember to bring sunscreen and a sun hat. Transportation: Take the high-speed rail to Shanwei Station, then transfer to bus route 112 or 6 to Jinmai Bay. It costs about 25 yuan to take a taxi from Ermalu.

I drove here from Qinhuangdao, Hebei. It is the loneliest sea castle in Guangdong. It is a beach that is very suitable for young people to check in. It is very beautiful to take pictures here. The sea water is very clear and parking is convenient. It is a place worth visiting. If I have the opportunity in the future, I will drive here to play around.

I've been in Guangdong for over a week now, and this beachcombing trip was the best day of my trip! First of all, the tour leader was incredibly thoughtful. Since we were on a road trip, he checked on us from the very beginning until we met up. The whole beachcombing experience was fantastic, and the tour leader was incredibly considerate. After we finished beachcombing in the morning, he cooked us delicious seafood. After breakfast, he took us fishing. At noon, he made us fish soup with the fish we caught. The whole experience was amazing, and we went to less crowded beaches – the experience was fantastic! The tour leader was also incredibly kind! Highly recommended!

A perfect score is a must! The hotel is located in a quiet area, and the lobby is spacious, elegant, and impeccably maintained. The guest rooms were impeccably clean; the floors, windowsills, and mirrors were spotless. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, proactively providing information on nearby attractions and restaurants – very thoughtful and considerate. The room was spacious, the mattress was just the right firmness, and I slept soundly all night. My stay was very pleasant, and I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.
